Who We Are.
Exceptional Opportunities (ExOp) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational and recreational opportunities, employment services and housing to people with disabilities. ExOp empowers clients of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities with the practical skills, self-esteem and confidence to live independent or semi-independent lives and become active members in the community.
The organization was created by a group of dedicated parents and community volunteers to serve children and adults with disabilities. At the same time, Exceptional Opportunities engages in advocacy and community organizing to promote access and change within society.
Today, nearly 100 individuals with intellectual disabilities are served with respect and excellence. A team of nearly 175 employees provide the services and supports needed with acceptance for each individual’s abilities and an unwavering commitment to help each person reach their dreams.
